Our next blues dance party will be a with LIVE music from Deborah Stafford and the Night Stalkers! This band is a Denver legacy band that throws down blues classics with some contemporary stuff mixed in- they are always super tight and dance-friendly!! ❤ Come for good music, good dancing, and good people!

Doors open at 7:00pm. There will be a beginner-friendly blues dance lesson from 7:30-8:30pm. A dance party with live music from the band and DJ'ed band breaks will follow from 8:30-12.

7:30-8:30pm: All levels blues dance class

Deborah Stafford and the Night Stalkers

Deborah Stafford & The Night Stalkers bring you the power and excitement of a horn driven Blues band. With their award-winning horn section, hot guitar licks, soulful keyboards and smoldering vocals, their exciting brand of original Blues will have you shakin’ it.

The band is two time winners of the CBS Blues Challenge and Semi-finalists at the Memphis International Blues Challenge. Usually an 8-piece horn-driven Blues and Soul band, for SSB we will dance to a slightly abbreviated version of the band. We still have Deborah’s smoky vocals, Tone Show on keyboards, Bob Tiger on the bass, JJ Murphy on the drums and Jeff Bowen on guitar to play the blues for you!

DJ Vartan

Vartan has been passionate (some say obsessed) with blues since the first day he tried it back in 2015. Ever since, he has traveled all over the country (and Canada) to dance, compete, and DJ at every event he could find. Specializing in late night blues, he strives to create the perfect energy and atmosphere to keep the floor moving all night long.

Denver Turnverein

GENERAL EVENT VENUE CHANGE:

We currently no longer run our event at the Pearl/Mercury Cafe; we will now be in the basement ballroom of the Denver Turnverein for the forseeable future, but please follow us to keep updated on any venue information, and we will see you at the event!

PARKING
Free parking lot surrounding the building and street parking in surrounding streets.
OVERFLOW PARKING
If everything is full, park momentarily at the bottom of the stairs to get a pass to park for free in the bank parking lot a one-block walk from the venue.

The dance is indoors, NO RESTRICTIONS: vaccine and mask optional. Please stay home if you feel unwell! Be safe, have fun! ❤
