I remember how I felt the first time I heard an electric guitar wailing the blues to a crowded bar in Rochester New York. And how thick the air was with sweat and lechery at my first house party where we danced "Cold Turkey" three times in one night.

I recall the reverence I felt when I got to swing out to Preservation Hall on the hallowed streets of New Orleans. I love to dance. And I can't wait to share my passion with you.

But that's not all! This will be a part of our school drive for dance programs in Denver's District 9-- ALL proceeds will go toward dance programs in PreK-12 schools in the same district as the Mercury Cafe! Your purchase will give the gift of movement and dance to your local youth! <3

Founded by international dance instructor and performer Katrina Rogers, Blue "Kat" Blues Dance Crew is a Denver-based performance team dedicated to honoring the rich cultural legacy of Blues dance while infusing it with fresh energy and modern flair.

Our crew embraces the soulful essence of Blues through captivating performances that tell stories of resilience, connection, and joy. With a deep respect for the roots of this art form, we aim to keep the tradition alive while fostering innovation and personal expression on stage.

At the heart of Blue "Kat" is community and collaboration. Our team is built on the belief that every dancer brings a unique voice to the collective. We work together to create performances that reflect our shared vision while encouraging each member's individual growth, artistry, and confidence.
